Risky Business: Estimating Probabilities Associated with Big, Important Events (Simulated Virtual Class)

Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 2:00 PM until 2:45 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

What's it really like to be a student at Bryant University? Join our faculty for a simulated virtual class to gain a better sense of the learning experience at Bryant.

This simulated class taught by Professor Gorvett of the Mathematics Department will be a survey of several real-life situations and the right way to estimate their likelihoods. Examples include the risk of planes being shot down in World War II, the Shuttle Challenger launch disaster, and falling space station debris.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
